Dave Shelton

Biography
Dave currently serves as Special Counsel to the President and CEO of Chemours. In his role he leads resolution of legacy liability issues. From 2015 through September 2022, Dave served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary where he led the company’s global legal, compliance, security, and governmental affairs team. Prior to Chemours, Dave held several roles in the legal function for DuPont, where he served as lead counsel for many of the Chemical Solutions businesses and led the DuPont US Commercial legal team. Before joining DuPont, Dave spent seven years in private practice in Philadelphia and southern New Jersey as a trial attorney.
Dave earned a Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a Juris Doctor from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. Licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Prior to joining Chemours in November 2014, Dave Shelton was Associate General Counsel for DuPont and a member of the DuPont Legal Global Leadership team.
